Could a bump to my front tooth with a porcelain bowl have damaged my tooth?

On Tuesday night when eating, my hand slipped and I knocked a small bowl against my front tooth. I now can't tell if I am imagining the pain or not, since I do tend to get a little hypochondriac about my teeth. It feels like it aches, though there aren't sharp pains and I don't seem to have any particular sensitivity to hot or cold.
