It depends. If the tooth is only broken up to 30% of the whole tooth then most likely it can be bonded. Bonding is relatively cheap, quick and looks good. Cost for bonding could be $150-350. If the tooth is severely broken then you may need a crown. A crown is significantly more expensive and takes two weeks or so to get fabricated in the lab. In the interim you would have a temporary tooth. The cost per crown is anywhere between $500-$2000 depending on where you go. Hope that helps.
The cost of the repair depends on the extent of the tooth damage. The repair maybe a composite bonding with a price range of $160-375. A stronger, longer lasting and more aesthetic material will be a porcelain veneer; which is recommended, as it is more conservative than a crown but it will depend on the extent of the damage. It is best to get a consultation with an x-ray to be more accurate and to get all the options available. Keep in mind the cost of any dental repair varies depending on location, as well as the procedure necessary!
Composite bonding can be done in one visit, and is the least expensive option to fix a tooth. While composite bonding will have to be redone at some point, it is a permanent material, so if you are happy with how the bonding looks you won't need to do anything else immediately. The price for a bonded filling is usually based on the number of surfaces. It could range from $160 to around $200, maybe a little more, in my practice. Fees vary depending on where you live. If the tooth has a large amount of decay or tooth structure missing, a crown or even a root canal with core build up and crown could be needed. There’s just no way to say without an exam and x-ray.
