I am 150lb and 5'4". I am trying to lose 10 lb before surgery but was wondering if it is safe to do Lipo 360 with arms, BBL, and bL. I have no current health issues other than sub clinical graves disease in which my TSH and T4 has been normal for over a year. My EKG have all been NSR. I was told back in 2008 that I had a very mild mitral valve prolapse and f/u with a cardiologist that said it was nothing to be concerned about. Would it be safe for all these procedures to be done in one session?
Answer: Can a BL, Lipo 360 with arms and BBL be done in one session? Having this combination of surgery would require an overnight stay at my center. This is to maximize your safety as a patient. It would be reasonable to split this into 2 surgeries with the breast lift separate from the lipo and BBL - having the surgeries separately would not mandate an overnight stay. Your surgeon should confirm with your other medical providers that you are indeed fit for surgery. As always, be sure to research who is doing your procedure to increase the chances of getting a desirable result.

Answer: Can a BL, Lipo 360 with arms and BBL be done in one session? I perform these procedures at the same time several times a month. If you are healthy, the three surgeries can be combined. Sleeping during recovery can be creatively managed without compromising the results of the BBL or the BL. The result is really a function of how aggressively the surgeon will liposuction and transfer. Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. I allow patients to sleep on their sides. My patient coordinator recommends a plastic inflatable with a hole in it (called a lilo), where instead of your tummy, you place your butt, so you can sleep on your back with pillows propping up your neck and head.

Answer: Multiple procedures You can safely have all those procedures done in one setting. Personally I would skip the bbl. I don’t think the king term results are worthwhile at all.

Answer: Breast lift, liposuction and BBL I have done this combination several times so it is certainly possible. You would need to be evaluated in person by the surgeon who is going to do your case to make the final determination. Good luck.

Answer: Can a BL, Lipo 360 with arms and BBL be done in one session? Combining cosmetic plastic surgery procedures is not uncommon. Whether you are a reasonable candidate for those procedures depends on your anatomy, your medical history, the extent of the procedures, realistic expectations of the outcome and an understanding of the pros and cons of the various procedures. Safety should always be the main concern. It is generally recommended that the length of elective surgery be less than six hours. The procedures should be performed in an ambulatory facility that is accredited by one of the national organizations like the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF) or in a licensed hospital. Many surgeons would recommend an overnight stay at an appropriate facility where you can be appropriately monitored. Most patients prefer undergoing one anesthesia and one recovery period which is usually more cost effective. Having said all of that, many ethical well trained plastic surgeons would feel that the combination you are asking about is excessive and has significant risks factors if performed in one stage. Keep in mind that following the advice of any surgeon on this or any other web site who proposes to tell you what to do without: examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, and taking a full medical history, as well as discussing the pros and cons of each operative option would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery who is ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with, and discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. That way, you can have a better idea what is safe and makes the most sense for you. Before proceeding with a combination of these procedures, you should have medical clearance from your primary care physician and a discussion between him or her and your plastic surgeon.
