I'm a little over 2 months post op and I noticed a small white bulge around my areola incision, a few days later the bulge dried out and scabbed. The scab came of when I took a shower and now it looks like an small, superficial opening. In the photo it's a little red because I just removed the gauze and it again pulled off the scab that was forming. Is this normal? Why did the incision open to begin with (white bulge)?

Your asymmetry is relatively mild in terms of the areolas themselves. Your lower pole on one breast looks longer which may make the areola on that side appear higher than it actually is. If there is excess skin in the lower pole of that breast, the treatment may include removing some more skin...
I appreciate your question.
I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at ...
It all depends on the preop tests that the surgeon and the provider perform. Nicotine tests are not routine. The big question would be why are you still smoking if you are having this procedure. If you are smoking you you should postpone of your own well being regardless of the nicotine test.
