A septoplasty is performed as an outpatient surgical procedure in a formal operating room under general anesthesia. The operating room needs to be certified and licensed, however can be located adjacent to a physician's office. A septoplasty is not an in-office procedure.
I do all of my nasal surgery , rhinoplasties and septoplasties as an out patient - so most are done in my certified office operating room. Rarely are hospitals needed unless you are having sinus work at the same time.
