Crooked/Slanted Philtrum Caused By Deviated Septum?

Question

I have a deviated septum, and my philtrum is always crooked and slants to one side. Could a deviated septum be the cause, and could correcting the deviated septum also straighten the philtrum?

A philtrum is a central part of the upper lip.  It can be crooked sometimes because of deviation off the caudal part of nasal septum.  However it is more common to have a deviation of the columella with deviation of the nasal septum.  Septoplasty can correct the deviation significantly.RegardsDr. J

It is possible that a severely deviated caudal septum could cause deviation of the philtrum.  If this is the case, re positioning the caudal septum could improve the appearance.  I would suggest you have an in person consultation and exam to thoroughly evaluate your issue.  I have provided a helpful link below.
