Vertical lengthening chin implant - worth it?

Dear doctors,i am a young guy Last month I got a syringe of voluma to try to lenghten my chin,i like it but I know I'll need at least another one now and I was thinking to save the money and just get it dissolved and go for the implant already Can you do that? Would a vertically lenghtening chin implant do the trick? Chin is well projected from the side and in line with nose I'd prefer avoiding a genioplasty cause I need a short downtime and prefer something I can reverse in the future

The best treatment for lengthening the chin is a genioplasty. The surgical downtime is 3-5 days and we perform the surgery in the office with sedation. The surgery will not later your bite. An implant used to gain additional length has limitations.

By your own description the one dimensional change you need for your chin is purely vertical. The standard vertical lengthening chin implant does provide vertical length but it equally adds horizontal projection which is a 45 degree vector of chin augmentation. This is not what you need. Given that an implant is your desired treatment approach the options are either a true custom made implant that only provides a vertical increase, a semi-custom vertical lengthening chin implant (borrowing from another patient's design) or modifying the standard vertical lengthening chin implant to eliminate the horizontal component of it.
