Age 54, how to moisturize face with topical water alone?

Hi: As a 54-year old, keeping the face hydrated is essential and I am contacting you to ask how long would it take to moisturize my face in the shower, with water alone, to approximate the moisturizing effects of a face cream, please? The reason I’m asking: I am unable to use moisturizers since they all contain ingredients that damage the eyes by harming the meibomian glands, irreversibly.

If you want to moisturize your face with water the best approach may be to moisturize from within.  Drink plenty of water, eat a healthy, balanced diet and protect the skin by using sunscreen every day. Water is dehydrating to the skin. If your unable to use moisturizers then use essential oils (Young living). You would have to know how to dilute them with a carrier (almond, jojoba, hemp seed) . I Know its counterintuitive from what's you've been taught. When your skin is dehydrated it will absorb the essential oils quickly.

99.9% of all so caloed moisturizers do not actually moisturize the skin. They simply provide a barrier against moisture loss. Only products that contain hyaluronic acid can provide you with better moisturizing effect on the face.
