I have a soft lump on my left cheekbone. It appeared gradually & has been there at least 2 years (maybe more). My ENT ordered an MRI, which showed "subtle increased volume of fat underlying the platysma and facial musculature on the left in the immediate infraorbital region. It does not appear encapsulated as would be typical in a lipoma, but is asymmetric in appearance." I assume it will keep (slowly) growing, & am wondering if removal is possible w/o scarring or recurrence.
