Should I be charged for ear pinning revision?

Every surgeon is different regarding their policy about revisions. I try not to charge for revisions and even absorb the operating room costs. Unfortunately what you experienced is very common and is more the norm than the exception. You should check your original paperwork. Most consents have a section on revision costs so that issue is addressed ahead of time.

Those are outrageously high costs. For comparison: With us, an otoplasty (ear pinning) on both ears costs 2920 euros using the modern, minimally invasive Dr Merck stitch method. A revision, if the first operation was done by us, 180 euros.
