I have a severe indentation and loose skin on one leg,my other leg is fine and I don’t understand. The rest of my body is in very good shape, I know there are procedures like cellulaze or Cellini a but I’m looking for something more to tighten the skin. When I pull the skin up the dimples disappear
Answer: What to do About Your Dimply Loose Skin on Leg Thank you for your question regarding what to do about skin dumpling on your leg. Let’s carefully examine your picture. In the photo, you have loose skin and cellulite. Specifically, in your history, you also mention when you pull up your skin, the dimpling disappears. In my opinion, the dimpling is due to scar tissue from the skin to the connective tissue underneath. Therefore this needs to be divided. Also, in my opinion, once these fibers are divided, you will still have loose skin. Therefore, the skin needs to be lifted and an incision would need to be made in the upper portion of your buttock and the buttock and lateral thigh will need to be lifted. I do not believe Cellulase will significantly help. So your legs will cut the vertical scar fibers, but then you’ll be left with loose skin. Presently the cellulite is keeping the skin up; once these are cut, I believe the skin will sag. Therefore I would suggest a Posterior Buttock left. These procedures are done under general anesthesia and take approximately 3 to 4 hours to perform. Good luck. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Loose skin An in person examination is always best, but there may be several options to help with your concern. You may be a candidate for Aveli which is an exciting new treatment to address cellulite. It's non surgical and has shown impressive results. If the skin is quite lax on the leg you can consider a thigh lift, but from the limited photo it doesn't appear that would be necessary. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
