Dental implants with crowns feel uncomfortable and have indents on them - can these issues be fixed? (photos)

I had dental implants with crown done recently but crown feels weird and bulky. Feels like the tooth taking up too much space. I had one molar at the top done and one at the bottom. They feel uncomfortable. They also have these hole indent on them. Can issue be fixed?

You have 2 options, in my opinion:First, Consider changing the material and using Emax Crowns, this brand is more resistant and durable, and the translucent looks very natural. Of course, this come with higher cost. At our clinic per tooth is between 375 to 450 euros (Emax Crowns)Second, Ask a smile makeover specialist to resize the crowns for more comfortable use.

Hello, the hole indent over the occlusal area of that crown has its purpose. In case you ever had the screw loose, or had any trouble with the implant, filling is removed and it is the access hole to the screw holding the abutment that holds your crown to that implant. Crown seems to be fine on the pics attached, if there is space in between where you floss, crown can be changed and re done. Hope this helps out!

HiYou have implant supported screw retained crowns.The small hall you see is the access to the screw that connects the crown in to the implant, and is sealed with composite. The advantage of a screw retained crown is that it is retrievable. Another way to do them is cement retained, and you would not see the screw access, but they are no retrievable.The size seams to be ok, although they can be made more esthetic natural looking.In a few days you won’t feel them, it’s normal at the beginning to feel your tongue constricted since it was occupying the area where the teeth are.Dr Flikier
