I got solid silicone butt implants by board certified doctor located in NYC 7 years ago. My butt is now DEFORMED. I am so embarrassed, devastated. I do not know what to do. Why are my implants like this? They were always very hard and now they look very weird. What can I do?
Answer: “Deformed” buttock implants It appears as though you have been having problems with your buttock implants for quite some time and many queries on this forum. I think at this juncture, your only choice is to schedule an in person consultation with physical exam or at least a virtual consultation with an experienced and reputable buttock implant specialist/expert, not just any board certified plastic surgeon. Glad to help.

Answer: Butt augmentation Dear AmandaMariexo777, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: What can I do as my butt implants look so messed up/deformed? Even with the VERY poorly posted photos, hard to see exactly what is going on!., you need re operations or injection therapies. Without i person examination or even virtual one hard to offer exact opyion. You could have non surgical BBL with injections of Sculptra/Radeisse/HA fillers; Removal of implants with lipo & fat grating; lipo & fat grafting over the implants. In general terms you may need multiple procedures. It is obvious the implants have moved.

Answer: Butt implant removal and BBL correction Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a simultaneous butt implant removal and fat grafting transfer. This procedure is technical and requires advanced tools and expert technique. First, an ultrasound probe must be used to ensure that the transferred fat does not get into the pocket created by the implant once the implant is removed as this will result in the death of all the fat. Second, use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat will be required since you probably don’t have much fat to begin with since you elected to have a butt implant rather than a BBL the first time go around. Additionally, VASER allows for thinner layer of fat grafting that is required for refilling of the area where the implant was previously positioned. This is because this layer has been thinned out and can only accept liquified fat that is harvested using VASER technology. Fat should also be harvested with 1) a closed looped system to process the fat in order to optimize transfer time and avoid your fat from becoming contaminated and 2) strategic micro-packet transplant technique that maximizes graft take. These processes have demonstrated over 90% fat graft take. Finally, we must consider whether you will need a skin tightening maneuver such as a lateral thigh and buttock tuck that might be required if you have sagging buttock skin. Last but not least, attention must be given to providing you the buttock shape that YOU desire. This means using our proprietary BBL assessment tool. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled Butt implant patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. Our buttock assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
