At 9 months post-op from your deep plane facelift, what you’re seeing is likely a mix of scar tissue under the skin (fibrosis) and tension from the incision closure—especially where the skin ends behind the ear or in the temple area. Those small “cones” or raised bumps at the end of the scar are often excess skin or puckering, and the tight feeling you're describing sounds like the skin is adhering too closely to the deeper muscle layer.

As for your cheeks looking “hollow” or “pressed in,” it’s unlikely anything was removed, but it’s possible that natural fat shifted, scar tissue pulled things tight, or volume was unintentionally reduced during repositioning. It can happen even in expert hands.
