Would I be able to get this look with implants? (Photo)

Question

Hello! I’ve been going back and forth between implants and fat transfer to the breasts. Attached is my wish pic. I was wondering if her breasts appeared natural or were implants. If the look I like is implants then I obviously wouldn’t want to waste the time getting a fat transfer. Thank you so much!!

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. These results are more attainable with implants but it depends on your starting breast shape, volume and projection. Without a current photo it’s hard to say, however, implants are more likely to give you a stable and predictable results. Fat can be added in small volumes to correct minor differences.

The short answer is 'yes'. Having said that however, an in-person consult is important to assess your tissue characteristics, as well as expectations relative to having a great result with no complications. Just remember: size is important but shape is even more important.

Implants represent the most reliable way to add volume to the breast.

While fat transfer is an alternative, it is better suited for small contour corrections or in conjunction with an implant to "augment" the augmentation.

With regards to your specific question, while it is impossible to say for certain, my educated guess would favor implants.

As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Breast augmentation and fat transfer to the breast result in completely different appearances. Firstly, I recommend fat injection to the breast without an implant only for patients who already have a firm breast texture. Fat is used to add volume, not support. If breast tissue is not firm, the best way would be to go for a premium implant, as implant offers support as well as volume. I sometimes combine fat injection for the sternum area so that the implant looks more natural. If you are looking for large breasts, implant would be the best option, and depending on your anatomy, I may recommend combination with fat transfer.

If you’d like to achieve a similar result, the most suitable technique depends on the shape and size of your current breasts.

First, you don't provide photos of yourself, the starting point for any potential operation. Second, your goal photos are of a women with breast implants. So, regardless of the first point, the answer is you will not get these results. If that's what you want, get implants. It's time to call BII (now SSBI) for what it almost certainly is: Gaslighting. We've got nearly 120 years of science behind silicone containing products, which number in the thousands, many of which, along with military, industrial, and food, are placed inside the human body: testicular implants (since the 1940's), facial implants, hand and wrist joint implants, spine implants, cardiac and brain implants. Why is that only breast implants cause illness? Because it doesn't. What started as a feminist movement in the 1960's has become a huge money making industry in 'detoxing' from breast implants. As for reliability, the last far past a decade and when ruptured can be detected easily and quickly in the surgeon's office with office based high resolution ultrasound (HRUS). Go get your implants.
