How long should I wait after Mole Removal on vermollion border of lips before I have Juvederm injections to lips? (photo)

Respected doctors, I had mile just on the border of my upper lip (photo attached) and dermatologist removed it with laser three weeks ago. How long should I wait before having Juvederm injections for lips? Is it dangerous to have injections into place where my mole used to be? Scar is still visible (photo attached). Thank you very much for your help!

Actually, having fillers to your lips will not affect the healing if your upper cutaneous lip near the vermillian border at all.You may proceed whenever you wish!All the best, Dr. Clark

In general if the area is healing well, it is fine to inject in the lips. You appear to be well on you way to healing so I would proceed.

Dear writer, typically waiting two weeks is adequate time to ensure proper healing of the shave excision site. Additionally, you had the mole removed on the cutaneous part (skin) of the upper lip, not exactly in the vermillion border, though certainly nearby. Lip augmentation with Juvederm is an extremely precise procedure. The needle should not go anywhere near the biopsy site, and therefore should not be a concern at this point. However, the area around the injection is constantly swabbed with alcohol during the procedure and, it is indeed this part of the injection procedure that may cause some irritation at the biopsy site. Waiting two weeks to perform your lip injection provides adequate time for healing.

I can see that it is still a little pink;  however, it is safe to have filler injected nearby.  I would only recommend not having the needle go directly in the wound which could delay healing a tad.
