I am looking to gain this amount of chin augmentation using Bellafill (disregard the beard growth). I'd like to avoid a chin implant and instead go the semi permanent filler route.
Answer: Chin filler with Bellafill? Bellafill is a permanent filler according to experts. The PMMA is not readily reversible and although this may be nice for volumization, Bellafill may also cause longterm swelling and granulomas. I would suggest a chin implant or Radiesse. Answer: Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation with Injectable Fillers -- Radiesse, Sculptra, Surgical Implants, See an Expert "A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease. Implants are still a great option once you are 100% positive that you are ready for a permanent enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert; our practice is located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer"

Answer: Permanent chin augmentation with Bellafill I have used Bellafill succesfully for about a decade. 2 to 3 syringes are usually needed to sharpen the jawline and bring the chin slightly forward. Results are visible right away and soften over tim e. Sensitivity testing for allergic reaction to the Collagen component of the Bellafill is recommened. My understanding is that this testing is not required in Europe. I have used Bellafill with and without Canulas. I usually map the skin with Accuvein laser to demarcate the blood vessels. The key to a great outcome is placment of tiny droplets deep over the bone.

Answer: Bellafill: Maybe, But I Wouldn't Try It The benefits of chin implant augmentation are predictable, impressive, but reversible results; I prefer the Mittleman pre-jowl silastic implant, made by Implantech. Bellafill is a form of consistent particulate size polymethylmethacrylate injectable, which is the active ingredient ingredient in super-glue (different particulate makeup). A large amount of Bellafill would be required to gain the augmentation that you desire. It is not reversible and could be unpredictable on a long term basis. I strongly recommend against this and I would not perform this procedure for you.

Answer: Bellafil Is A Permanent Filler & Permanent Fillers Can Translate Into Permanent Complications Bellafill is NOT a semipermanent filler, it is a a permanent filler, and permanent fillers can translate into persistent and often very-difficult-to-treat complications, such as nodules, that may not only occur immediately after treatment, but as many as five, ten or twenty+years later. If you are looking for safer alternatives, or fillers that can be dissolved if the need should ever arise, you need not look any further than the use of a robust HA volumizing and lifting fillers. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with experience and expertise in nonsurgical filler chin augmentation. Best of luck.
