Can you do chest exercises after pec implants?

Question

Today I had a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, and he adviced me that if I get pec implants I am completely forbidden to do any sort of chest excersize, chest workout, or any strenuous activity involving my chest muscles ever again. I just wanted to confirm this, I've tried to do a lot of research but have only found general answers stating that I can resume excersize within 6 months. Thank you !

Thank you for your question.  There are not many plastic surgeons who have a lot of experience with pectoral implants.  I have been performing the surgery for over 20 years.  There are definitely nuances with the surgery.  I have never told the patient that they could not work out after having pectoral augmentation.  That is erroneous advice.  Best wishes to you.
