Fat in my cheeks have dropped a lot - Would a cheek lift improve my contour? (photos)

Question

It looks like I have buccal fat and the fat in my cheeks have dropped a lot, I used to have them fuller when I was younger (I'm 23 now). Even when I laugh, it looks like I have no volume in my face. What do you think are the right procedures here? I've heard a lot of things about how buccal fat removal can make you look much older than you are, so would a cheek lift help? Thank you!

Thank you for your question and for providing photos. We can improve cheek volume and contour in a number of ways. Dermal fillers are a non-surgical option that can lift the cheeks and add fullness, with results lasting approximately 6-12 months. 
For solutions with greater longevity, you may want to consider a fat transfer or cheek implants. 
A fat transfer would take fat from the belly or thighs and inject it into the cheeks to restore volume with long-lasting results. Customized cheek implants can be a permanent solution for increasing cheekbone projection and balancing facial proportions. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can help you decide on the best approach to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Relax. The issue seems quite easily and readily fixable with the proper use of a robust HA filler injected into the upper outer cheek region. The results of a properly performed treatment (which, in experienced hands, should take no more than about ten to fifteen minutes) are immediate and typically elicits a "Wow!" reaction and engenders little to no significant downtime. Just make sure to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck. And, again, relax, your issue is a common one and pretty ease to remedy.
