You should discuss this with your cancer doctor and your body sculpting doctor. There are no studies to validate this or disprove it. It probably also depends on the body area you wish to treat. Every provider has a different comfort treshhold and different experience. This should all be discussed in detail during your in person consultation and should be overseen by your cancer treating doctor. It is possible.Hope this helps.Best, Dr.Anna Avaliani, NYC
It is an interesting question that you have asked. Of course the logical question would be to treat cancer first and make sure that you’re cancer free before you attempt to have any surgery whatsoever on yourself. At the same time an individual only lives once and even in the face of active cancer, Cosmetic surgery can be performed in order to make an individual feel better about themselves. I would still discuss this issue with your oncologist as well as perhaps your psychiatrist, if you have one, to make sure that the treatment will NOT exacerbate your current medical condition and make you suffer more. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
