Botox should be perfectly fine to get a month before your rotator cuff surgery and shouldn't have any effect on your anesthesia nor surgery. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. In my opinion, botox prior to your surgery should not be a problem; however, I would speak to your surgeon prior to see if there are any concerns they may have.
There should not be any reason that you can’t get neurotoxin a month prior to shoulder surgery. The only post procedure precautions to keep in mind are, do not lie down for 4 hours, do not get into extreme temperatures post treatment for the rest of the day, do not engage in strenuous exercise post treatment, and do not rub the area post treatment on the day of injection. From an injectors stand point there should be no trouble getting the treatment a month prior to shoulder surgery, but it is not a bad idea to ask your orthopedist if you have concern.
In my opinion, it would be fine to have a Botox treatment a month before surgery on the shoulder. The Botox should not affect the surgery and vice versa.
Hello! There is no contraindications for receiving Botox prior to an upcoming surgery. Especially if it is a month before. In fact, you could receive a toxin treatment the day before and would still be fine. I am an anesthesiologist and spa owner. When you have your shoulder repair, you will be placed in a special headrest that will put some gentle pressure on your face to maintain the appropriate surgical position. Even though this special positioning device is on your face, it will not have any effect on your previous toxin treatment. I would avoid having a toxin treatment the day before surgery just because of this but in theory it should be totally fine.Good luck with your upcoming surgery and you will look amazing the day of with your fresh rejuvenated face.
Hello @Forever5000, thank you for your question. You can apply Botox before shoulder surgery, it does not interfere with the surgery. For more information and recommendations, it is prudent to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
Hi, thank you for your question! Yes, botox can be administered before having shoulder surgery. Botox may wear off more quickly just due to stress on the body from surgery. I would recommend touching base with your surgeon who will be performing the surgery.
Thank you for your question! It is fine to get Botox a month before surgery, since there are no contraindications for receiving this treatment prior to a surgical procedure. Hope this helps & enjoy your treatment!
Hello Forever5000, Surgery is not a contraindication for any surgery.Especially since you are taking it a month before, there is nothing to worry about. All the best for your surgery. :)
Hi forever50000Yes, you can have botox before shoulder surgery. It will not affect the outcome of your botox treatment. Sincerely,Gambhir Cosmetics
Neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau) and soft tissue fillers like Belotero can improve the appearance of the forehead by reducing lines, wrinkles and folds. Deeper lines and wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox, fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP. I...
I'm sorry to hear of the issues you've had from your Botox treatment. You may get some lightening of the stain from laser treatments. i encourage you to visit with an experienced professional to determine the best option for you.
Thank you for posting your question. Botox is a safe and effective treatment option for symptoms associated with persistent clenching. The clenching can be due to overactive muscles, and Botox can block receptors to reduce clenching. Botox may not be suitable for degenerative arthritis or other...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Dear dojadoja: I have not had a opportunity to explore this question previously but it is an interesting mental exercise. Botox is one of several injectable muscle relaxers. Muscles work in combinations by shortening in different directions. Botox therefore relaxes the agonist or the antagonist...
Hello chi910, thank you for your question! These upper lip wrinkles are so common and can be extremely stubborn. Using botox or another neuromodulator to restrict the movement causing the lines is an important first step, but if the lines are deep there will be more pieces to the puzzle. In...
