Gluteal implants have a long list of complications and undesirable side effects. There are a handful of surgeons mastered how to do the procedure correctly. There are a few things that seems to make the procedure give it a more consistent high quality outcome with decreased complications and side effects.
The first is placing implants intramuscularly exclusively.
The second is limiting the size of the implant to what actually fits inside the gluteus muscle.
Larger implants are associated with higher complication rates and higher undesirable side effects.
