I understand you can always get new sun damage. I'm confused if treated melasma will come back exactly as it used to be or if it will come back as 'brand new' sun damage. Are people saying it can't be cured because you can never really completely undamage the skin from the sun (even if it looks like it's completely gone)? If it's not permanent, what's the benefit of using Alexandrite over lotions with kojic acid that produce similar results?
