160 lbs, 5'7". I hate my body shape. I've despised it all my life. I want hips and booty. Also, a flat (or real close to) stomach. I have cried over my body for more than 10 years now and over the past 5-6, its really become a huge issue for me. I have no self confidence or esteem left. None. I feel like a linebacker for the NFL. Broad shoulders, nothing on the bottom. I am desperate... Please help.
Answer: I want an hourglass figure! How can I get one? Hello HopefulBlonde,Thanks for your question.Your body type is fairly common. I have seen many patients over the years that seem to be wider on top and narrow on the bottom. Much of that has to do with the way your skeletal structures have developed from childhood. There are ways to change your "triangular" features though. If you want my opinion, this is what I would recommend:1. Liposuction of the the back, flanks, and abdominal wall2. Autologous fat grafting to your buttocks to increase projection and width of your "booty" (Brazilian Butt Lift -BBL)3. Full abdominoplasty/tummy tuck once you are finished having children to tighten up your loose abdominal muscles. If you have already had your children then you could have the abdominoplasty/tummy tuck 6 months after the liposuction. It is difficult to recover from an abdominoplasty/BBL combination so I don't typically recommend it.This set of procedures allows you to remove from where you feel you are too big and add to where you are too small/narrow while eventually tightening your tummy. This is what will help you approach an hourglass figure.I do recommend that you really think about surgery before you attempt it. It is important to establish a realistic attitude about what is possible. Your amount of preop distress is concerning and may need evaluation by a professional to help you gain a more centered view about your body prior to surgery.A consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon is your first step.Good luck!Dr. Shah

Hi.. thank you for the question and photos, you do not have to feel like this... theres a solution to this, you have en athletic shape, wide shoulders and back area, flanks and small buttock area... to correct this i suggest you Liposuction of Back, Flanks and Abdomen.. (in this photo i can't appreciate your abdominal skin condition), and fat transfer to Buttock area (BBL) to improve a bottle figure that will make you feel confident with your self.

Answer: Is there any hope for this inverted triangle shape Thank you for your question, all tough your bone structure is a little bigger on the top naturally, you would greatly benefit from a Brazilian butt lift, we would do extensive full body liposuction to get as much fat as possible, especially from the upper back, arms and abdomen, and all the fat that is taken out we would inject it into buttocks and hips to give you a curvier more proportionate body shape.Good luck.Salvador Pantoja M.D.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift Thank you for your question. You appear to be a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift. This procedure would involve liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and back with fat transfer to the buttock and hip region to improve your shape. You do have an inverted v buttock shape which is the most difficult to correct, but there is hope. There are two limitations in how much improvement you can get: 1) the amount of fat you have to transfer and 2) how tight the lower buttock and lateral thigh skin is. An in person exam would be helpful to give you a better idea of what is possible. Computer imaging would also be helpful to determine if you would be satisfied with a more modest improvement. Best wishes.

Answer: Is there any hope for this inverted triangle shape?! Yes, there's hope in reshaping your body. You may not have enough fat to give you a large "booty", but one can achieve a more feminine curve. Buttock shapes have been described and categorized in the plastic surgery literature. Your shape is a "V" shape and this is the most difficult to improve due to your anatomy. I use the VASER technique for fat collection and reshaping of the abdomen, back, waist, hips, arms and inject the fat in the buttocks to reshape and enhance. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. It is important that you choose the right surgeon, since your best chance for a good result is your first operation due to your limited fat supply. Good luck.
