Hello. I am a 20 year old man, and for several years by now I have been concerned with my abnormally small pupillary distance. It is 5.85 cm, outside the normal male range of 6-7 cm by a small (but significant) margin. Essentially, I have the skull of a 6' man but the eyes of a tiny woman. I know that the craniofacial surgery required would be very expensive, but I will stop at nothing to obtain a harmonious face, since women reject me on first sight due disgusting eyes. Where can I get it done?
Answer: You need to talk to someone to help you with your self esteem not surgery You photo shows you are a handsome man. There is nothing wrong with your eyes. you are becoming obsessed with your slightly smaller eyes. This does not explained why girls are not willing to go out with you. I am being very honest. You are a handsome man from your photo. Please someone to help you with your mental status. you are very young and we all need some times to get help from experts to get our mental health back, like everything else.

Answer: Changing pupillary distance (PD) You appear to be a handsome young man. There's nothin abnormal in my opinion about your PD, and in fact there are many successful Hollywood actors with smaller than average PD measurements (James Franco for example, to whom you might have a slight resemblance - and I mean that very flatteringly). It would be an error in judgment in my opinion, both for the patient, and surgeon, to consider this surgery in someone with normal feature such as yourself.

Answer: Facial Contours A small exercise you might do is take a piece of paper and block the lower half of your face on the frontal photo that you submitted. Your eyes appear fine and quite appealing ! (In spite of the objective measurements that you shared with us !) (Any relation to Harrison Ford ?) Perhaps by assessing and addressing the total contour of your face, that would alleviate the focus on the eye area and balance everything out a little better. This would be best done in a thorough evaluation with a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon who specializes and is experienced in Facial Contouring, and who also has computer imaging and simulations in the office to assess how different contours would look on your face. This needn't be expensive. There are many simple options available to you so take heart ! The key is in the initial assessment and evaluation together to determine the plan of action.Best Wishes in your Quest !Dr. Anna PetropoulosBoston's North Shore

Answer: Interpupillary distance I am a woman and I can tell you that women are not rejecting you based on your eyes. You may be making unpleasant facial expressions or something like that, but on a plain photo your eyes are not a problem. I would suggest that you look for an image consultant or personal coach to evaluate the whole you. Sometimes a really good and trusted friend can provide answers, but in my experience most people don't really have a friend with both the ability to clearly look at a person and also the ability to kindly speak with truth. The personal coach would be a heck of a lot cheaper, anyhow.

Answer: Facial Harmony Please speak to your parents or your doctor or preferably a skilled mental health professional. I am concerned with your statements above which attribute your social challenges to an imperceptible facial asymmetry. There is nothing to do physically or cosmetically. I believe the issues may be psychological.
