Thank you for the good question. A month should pass after eyelid surgery before injecting Botox. The tissue is still swollen which could cause Botox to migrate to an area not intended. It is probably a good idea to wait about the same amount of time for use of fillers. I hope you find this helpful.
Thank you for your question. While there are no absolute answers for this question for most eyelid surgeries I would consider waiting until swelling has gone down. Discuss directly with your operative surgeon. I hope this is helpful.Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS
Hello Minden18,Once your swelling goes down you can consider having Botox and fillers around the eye area. If you are getting fillers in areas around other parts of the face and if they are not swollen you could have the filler now. I hope this helps and good luck.
Hello Minden,Thank you for your question. As you can see from the responses, each physician may tell you something slightly different. What's most important is asking your surgeon, who performed the procedure, to tell you when he/she feels it is ok. If a muscle suspension was utilized during the surgery or fat repositioned, your surgeon may not want Botox paralyzing and thinning the muscle suspension. So, ask your surgeon. Good luck!
You can have Botox and/or a filler as soon as most of the swelling has receded after your eyelid surgery. This can take 3-6 weeks. Just for future reference, Botox or fillers can be done right before eyelid surgery on the same day.
Thanks for your question. The answer is, "yes," one could potentially move the eyes forward, but I doubt any surgeon would do that for strictly cosmetic reasons. It is a fairly major procedure that carries with it risks. Most surgeons would recommend solving the issue by adding filler materials...
If there has been a change in your eye position (with right eye fallen lower), then it could be silent sinus syndrome. Otherwise, it is likely inherited eye/orbit asymmetry along with eyelid asymmetry. See an oculoplastic specialist for evaluation.
You are a good candidate for blepharoplasty with fat transposition or fat transfer to the periorbital area. The cost is about the same at my practice ranges from 3000-4500 depending on where the fat is moved to etc. This will help to make a smooth transition from your eye to your cheek. The eye ...
