Had dermal fillers injected into my cheek areas either side of mouth just over a week ago to cover deep lines when I smiled In certain lights you can see very bumpy areas under the skin, like you can see where the filler has been put.I have been told by my doctor this is the normal settling process but am very worried as to what I should do next

Answer: Lumps after filler injection If this was a hyaluronic filler I would not worry. oftentimes it takes a while (2 weeks or more) for the filler to smooth out. I usually see my patients back at 2 weeks to reassess. If it is still lumpy I recommend a gentle massage of the area. Do not worry this should smooth out. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed.

Answer: Filler around the mouth Hi and thanks for your question. As most of the fillers are hyaloronic acid which is is natural sugar in the skin they can make small lumps in the first 1-2 weeks after injection and they should resolve . If the filler was injected very superficial this lumps can be felt for longer period of time and needs to be treated with hyaloronidase . I recommend you to wait for another 1-2 weeks and if still feel lumps see your physician
