Loss of volume and hollows under my eyes, what would be the best treatment to solve this problem?

Hi @hairchick38. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Restylane and Belotero both work great for the tear trough.

Hairchick,Fillers under the eyes require a lot of skill and experience.  However, once you find an expert person to take care of you the risks are low.  Furthermore, if a hyaluronic filler is used (such as something in the restylane line), it is typically reversible if something didn't sit right with you.

Photos or an examination of you would be needed to give you the best advice.  Sometimes, there can be a hollow area under the eye due to puffiness above it.  Sometimes there is just the hollowness by itself.  If there is puffiness due to fat, this can be improved with surgery and reducing the fat can improve the hollow area underneath.  The other treatment option would be using a filler to add volume to the hollow area.  This can be done if there is only hollowness or hollowness due to a puffy area above it.  I would recommend using a hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane if you opt to have a filler.  

Fillers are an effective and safe way to achieve excellent under eye cosmetic results for volume loss. My recommendation is that you do a consultation with a physician who has specialized training and experience with filler procedures (such as injection of Juvederm, Belotero, etc...). Your physician will also recommend the best product to help you achieve your goal.

Hollowness under the eyes at age 37 is very common. The great thing is that we have SIMPLE and very effective Solutions with new and improved HA fillers. Loss of volume under the eyes is very common. I treat it almost every day. I use micro dots made from Vollure or Restylane and inject deeply with a fine gauge needle in small quantities. As with just about any medical treatment there are risks. Fortunately they are extremely rare in the hands of an expert injector. It is difficult to give you advice without seeing a photo. In most instances dermal fillers can be used to fill in and smooth the area. Oftentimes the fillers can be combined with PRP.  If you have swelling or puffiness as well, skin tightening may be added.  It is important that you have a consultation with an experienced provider who can advise you.  This area takes a lot of expertise to inject so again, make sure your provider is well trained and experienced to treat this area. 

Hi and thanks for your question. Filler under the eye should be injected by an expert physician . I use Redensity 2 for under the eye which is a very soft filler with minimal swelling and the result is very good . Again the experience and technology injection is very important in this area. I highly recommend to an expert physician for consultation

I have extensive experience in using dermal fillers. We all age and since you are approaching 40, the fat loss below the eyes becomes more pronounced leading to “hollows” which we term as tear troughs. The best non-surgical treatment for this is still dermal fillers which can come from your own fat or from injectables containing HA or hyaluronic acid gels. I would have loved to see a photo to see if you need a collagen stimulator (e.g. Sculptra) and/or wrinkle relaxer (e.g. botulinum toxin like Botox) as well.  Choose a Provider who has good track record; expert knowledge of anatomy thorough understanding of the various filler properties and flawless techniques are musts  for avoiding “botched” jobs. I always aim for: filling up the concavity adequately, stretching  because the face drops as it loses collagen and symmetry. For combination treatment, I would go for small injections of Restylane (or similar products) and add a collagen stimulator to make up for the volume loss. For consistency, ask you Provider to consider Botox for crow’s feet, glabellar lines and forehead lines that might have started to form. It would also give you a slight brow lift which altogether should give you a refreshed and youthful look.
