I had chicken pox when I was 1 year old and it left a scar on the top left side of my nose. It is a fairly deep scar that causes my nose to look asymmetrical. What would be the best treatment to fill this scar and would it be a dangerous procedure to have considering it is on my nose? What is an average cost for a procedure like this? Thanks.

Answer: Fill it or remove it You certainly can add Juvederm voluma to the scar to make it less deep but it will not go away completely. Another option is actually removing the scar surgically, there is an incision but when it heals it will be hard to see. We have a special technique to provide skin laxity and stretch in order to remove the scar and close it perfectly under no tension. If interested, schedule a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon to discuss filler vs scar revision. Best wishes

Answer: Chicken pox scar There are many ways to approach this. You will need to be examined by an experienced provider. Oftentimes laser resurfacing and dermal fillers can be used to treat this. Bellafill is a dermal filler that is specifically indicated for scars.
