Microneedling with PRP vs Vampire facial

Question

Are these the same? I am reading up on the two and they seem to be one in the same. If not, is one better than the other? Also, any doctors in norther NJ who perform this? Thank you.

That's a great question and it's a topic that is rapidly evolving!I think the honest answer is that no one knows for sure because there are so many different techniques to treat the face with platelet rich plasma and many different technologies for microneedling.If you are seriously considering the treatment, it is best to define your goal and determine if you are a candidate for microneedling.  It may be that your goal is better achieved by another procedure.Consider a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, experienced with PRP,  to become educated.Good luck!In good heatlh,Ellen Mahony, MD

Thank you for your question! Microneedling with PRP and Vampire Facial are the same thing.  Patients are seeing great results using platelet rich plasma (vampire facial) with microneedling to treat acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, pores and even skin tone and texture. I would recommend finding a provider who is experienced with microneedling as well as PRP. Best of luck to you!

Both Micro-needling and the Vampire Facial can be perceived the same however Vampire Facelift and Facial are considered trademarks.  Micro-needling can be done with or without using one's own PRP and Vampire Facial is said to use one's own PRP.  I hope that helps.Best

Microneedling with PRP and The Vampire are the same procedure. I know this question comes up often. Microneedling with PRP is an excellent treatment for total skin rejuvenation and collagen induction.
