It makes no difference what time of year filler is injected. In Florida, it is summer most of the year.We do ask patients to avoid sun for a few days after the injection.
Fillers can be used year round and not affected by the seasons. My practice is in a warm area where people get fillers often. Best, Dr. Emer.
I do recommend sun protection following fillers. This consists of avoiding significant sun exposure, wearing sunblock and a hat when out doors. Summertime weather is not a reason to avoid fillers. You just need to be more careful with regard to sun exposure to avoid hyperpigmentation of the treated area. You can discuss with your physician injector but now is as good a time as any to pursue injectable treatments. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Fillers can be used anytime during the year. I believe people are referring to excessive sun exposure immediately following injection and/or bruising.

Jake,A few words of caution:1. The nasolabial folds are one of the most over-injected and unnecessary areas for injections. Especially for people in their 20's who usually do not have problems with their nasolabial folds. Your situation might be different if you have maxillary bone...
