It makes no difference what time of year filler is injected. In Florida, it is summer most of the year.We do ask patients to avoid sun for a few days after the injection.
Fillers can be used year round and not affected by the seasons. My practice is in a warm area where people get fillers often. Best, Dr. Emer.
I've never heard this. In fact, summertime is probably the busiest time of year for cosmetic treatments. Naturally, sun protection is important during this time so just make sure you're protecting your skin with a good SPF sunscreen.
I do recommend sun protection following fillers. This consists of avoiding significant sun exposure, wearing sunblock and a hat when out doors. Summertime weather is not a reason to avoid fillers. You just need to be more careful with regard to sun exposure to avoid hyperpigmentation of the treated area. You can discuss with your physician injector but now is as good a time as any to pursue injectable treatments. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
Fillers can be used anytime during the year. I believe people are referring to excessive sun exposure immediately following injection and/or bruising.
Hi @ajewel98. Thank you for sending your photos. You would be a great candidate for tear trough fillers. Restylane and Belotero work great. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks...
Upper eyelid hollowness is a dramatically underappreciated, yet incredibly important component of aging in the eyelids. With normal aging, our upper eyelid fat pads tend to retract and expose this upper lid hollowness, those with “deep set eyes“ are especially prone, and unfortunately old...
Jake,A few words of caution:1. The nasolabial folds are one of the most over-injected and unnecessary areas for injections. Especially for people in their 20's who usually do not have problems with their nasolabial folds. Your situation might be different if you have maxillary bone...
Awalter86- thanks for you question. Your photos demonstrate an asymmetric weakness of your right lower lip, which doesn't retract/depress like the left when smiling. Based on its presence since birth, it is likely a congenital weakness of your marginal mandibular nerve, often...
First check with your doctor who prescribed the Cyclosporine. If you get a OK from that doctor, just be sure your filler doctor does a meticulous skin preparation to minimize the risk of infection and you should be fine.
Yes fillers can be injected, but if the acne is very severe with cysts and pustules Id suggest treating that first to limit any issues. Best, Dr. Emer.
