FUE HT, Bumps on head 6 weeks after procedure (mushy, nodular, not painful, in the DONOR AREA ONLY. Been on antibiotics, no change. Had a culture, not bactieral / folliculitis. Dr. has not responded to what he thinks is the issue. Has anyone seen this before? will upload pics if there is a response. Super edgy about this.

Answer: Keloidosis or Hypertropic scar Sometimes trauma regardless of mechanism can trigger excessive synthesis of collagen and elastin resulting in disproportional amount of collagen in regards to normal surrounding tissues. The method of treatment would be steroid injections along with siliconic acid 95% and even radiation. Achtung! simple removal would create lesion bigger than the original lesion.

Answer: Inclusion cysts The presence of bumps ion the donor area after FUE often reflect buried grafts that were pushed under the skin at the time of the FUE. This could cause infections and lumps that may have to be surgically treated
