I am a 30f had Dysport 9/15/15 and now my eyes seems to droop and look hooded somehow? This is so uncomfortable it feels like lightening bolts and twitches occasionally over my left eye! What can I do? I barely recognize myself!
Answer: There is no substitute for a personal assessment. The dysport does wear off. Eventually the muscle state does return to normal. However this can be speeded up by imposing a correct treatment on the muscles. I recommend you search on microdroplet botulinum toxin. This is a patented method of treating just the eyebrow depressors and it leaves the frontalis muscle untreated. It seems to help with this transition.

Answer: Improving Hooded Eyelids -- Botox/Xeomin/Dysport/Jeuveau for Brow Lift, Fillers, RF (Thermage, Legacy, Viva), Blepharoplasty For significant improvement, hooded eyelids require surgery if there is enough skin. For nonsurgical treatments: Radiofrequency (Thermage or Venus Legacy/Viva), injectable fillers, and a Botox brow lift can help contour the eyebrows and lift the eyelid skin. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Hooded Eyes After Dysport I think what happened is that too much of you forehead was paralyzed, causing your brows to drop. I typically use between 45 and 60 units of Dysport in the forehead and stay at least 2 finger breadths away from the lateral brow, you can get closer to the medial brow. This usually prevents brow drop and maintains some expressivity to the upper part of your face while eliminating most of the wrinkles. You probably have minimal to no movement of your brows, right? I'm sorry to say but there is not much you can do. It takes about 3 months to wear off completely and will then return to normal. It will usually gradually improve before the muscles start working fully.

Answer: Hooded Eyes after Dysport It is always best to follow up with the provider who injected the area to discuss what you do and don't like so they can make notes for next time. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to reverse the injections, but the good news is it will wear off on its own in 3-4 months.

Answer: Dysport and Droopy Eyes / Hooding Unfortunately, your physician may have over-treated your forehead (frontalis) muscle. This broad muscle is used to "lift" the eyebrows. To provide a lift, your physician needs to treat the depressor muscles. While the Dysport will loose effectiveness over three to four months, you may find relief by utilizing a radiofrequency device (such as Pelleve) or an ultrasound device (such as Ultherapy) to provide some immediate relief of your eyelid hooding. Best of luck,Suneel Chilukuri, M.D.Houston, TX
