I had 100 units injected last Wednesday in my forehead, between the eyes and crows feet. Not noticing many changes at all. Only a tad bit. The weird thing is my forehead feels tight and it takes effort to make a mad face or raise my eyebrows. I would assume that would mean it's working but why wouldn't I see more changes?
Answer: Dysport dosing From the description you have provided it sounds as if you are experiencing some affect from the dysport. I would suggest following up with your injector to determine whether you have achieved as much improvement as would be expected. I would typically recommend waiting approximately 2 weeks after your initial injection before following up to give the drug time to exert its full effect.

Answer: 100 units of dysport with little results 100 units is not that much of dysport to 3 areas. i suggest you see an expert who does the correct starting dosage to the areas of interest, otherwise the results will be minimal or not last long. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dysport effects Thank you for your question. I often explain to patients that the difference between static lines and dynamic lines which is dependent on active muscle motion. Dysport and Botox only effect dynamic lines. You should not see a dramatic reduction of any static lines that are present even when you're not making an expression. Fillers are more appropriate for these concerns. A before and after photograph would help to assess and discuss your expectations and results.

Answer: Dysport Effects It sounds like the dysport is working but a picture would be so helpful to give you a better answer. However, here are some things to think about when you might not think the effect is not what you wanted. You can still have some wrinkles near the crow's feet area after dysport because of the upper cheek muscles still working. Noticed especially with a full smile. The upper cheek muscles pull up the mouth and create lines just below the crows feet area which makes it look like the dysport did not work.Deep creases in any of the areas where you had dysport may cause you to think it did not work well either. Persistent deep creases after the muscles are paralyzed can only be improved with fillers. Some people need a combination of both to get the result they had hoped to have.Explain what changes you were expecting and send a picture to further answer your questions and concerns.Dr Spies

Answer: 100 U of dysport and not seeing much change based on your difficulty with the movment it seems like the product is working. It can take up to 7 days to have full effect of the product. and while the number 100 seems like a lot, it is actually not a lot for that prodcuct. it is possible that you need more injected. however, when you have lines in those areas at rest prior to injection, it is unlikely those lines will disappear after one treatment. you will notice that the lines get softer and less deep over the next 3-4 months, but will not necessarily completely fade. it may take several treatments for the lines at rest to fade.
