My uncle got dysport for the 1st time 6 mo ago and they used 100 for the 11s, eyes, AND forehead and it didn't do much. His eyes aren't bad, but forehead is really heavily wrinkled and his 11s are deep and really scrunched when he frowns. It still looked angry after when he made faces. It only kinda improved. This time they did 120 since he said 100 didn't do much last time. 40 in his forehead, 60 in his frowns, and 20 on his eyes (10 on each side). Does that sound like a good amount?
Answer: Dysport Thank you for your question. The standard Dysport injection is 60 units per area. Areas with deeper lines which are present at rest often require more. It is hard to recommend the appropriate dose for your uncle without examining him. I would also have him ask his provider how the Dysport is reconstituted. Overdilution can lead to poorer results. It is best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who does a high volume of injectables.

Answer: Dysport Units and Results units are dependent on your starting and end goals. I typically use 40-70 Units to the brow/glabella, 30-60 on the forehead, and 20-30 on each eye. This can always be tailored to get the best natural results. Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dysport dosing Every patient is different, and so may require a different dose of Dysport to accomplish a desirable result. The correct dose depends on muscle strength, wrinkles that are present, and desired softening. However, for someone with deeper wrinkles, Dysport and Botox may not provide a significant effect, no matter how much is injected. Many patients with heavier lines would benefit from additional treatment with fillers, or a surgical procedure.

Answer: Dysport Dosing Thank you for your question. It can get confusing, because typically Dysport should be dosed 2.5 - 3 times more than typical botox amounts. For the average male, 50-60 units of botox is usually appropriate to help with static wrinkles - this is approximately 125-180 units of Dysport. Depending on how deep your Uncle's wrinkles are, they may never truly disappear - if they are etched and present when he isn't making the face that elicits them, then he may need filler in addition to a neurotoxin. Fillers like belotero are great to help get rid of stubborn lines, like the 11's.I happen to like Dysport because I feel that, for some people, you get a little more bang for your buck and that it has better spread compared to botox. This can translate into a smoother, more natural look - but that's just my experience. Without seeing pictures of your Uncle, it's hard to say if he was dosed appropriately. I do agree with doing fewer units initially, and then ramping up the dosage if need be - the rough amounts you posted per site seem somewhat appropriate, although his crow feet could likely use more.
