Age 32/144lbs/5'5'' 2 pregnancies (2009, 2015). Lost 65 lbs over the last 2 1/2 years and happy with current weight. Will not be having any more children. My stomach and back are equally important to me. Planning for a tummy tuck but my back makes me the most uncomfortable in clothes. I don't know if what I'm seeing is loose skin or fat so I'm unsure if I need lipo or a bra line back lift. Thank you!

Answer: Breast lift and tummy tuck After 2 pregnancies and 65 lbs weight loss, your breasts are drooping as well. I recommend you begin with a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. This will pull some of the back skin forward and take care of some of the looseness that you dislike. At the same time, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After these are completed, you can consider a back lift, if necessary. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Liposuction & Tummy Tuck Thank you for your question & photos! Liposuction will remove excess fat with some retraction of skin. A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of the abdominal muscle. The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss. By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well. The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals. Best of luck!
