Age 32/144lbs/5'5'' 2 pregnancies (2009, 2015). Lost 65 lbs over the last 2 1/2 years and happy with current weight. Will not be having any more children. My stomach and back are equally important to me. Planning for a tummy tuck but my back makes me the most uncomfortable in clothes. I don't know if what I'm seeing is loose skin or fat so I'm unsure if I need lipo or a bra line back lift. Thank you!
Answer: What procedure/s would be most helpful for my tummy and back (skin removal or fat removal)? (Photos) Hello, thank you for your question. Based on your photos it seems like you can benefit from a Tummy Tuck and a bra line lift. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for a proper evaluation.

Answer: Tummy tuck Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a great candidate for a tummy tuck and a bra-line lift. The tummy tuck can be done through a very low incision to tighten the abdomen while the bra-line lift will remove all of the excess skin that you've shown. While liposuction may help to flatten some of the folds, it may worsen the excess skin if the skin doesn't contract adequately. I hope this helps. Best of luck!

Answer: Circumferential tummy tuck and liposuction Congratulations on your weight loss! A tummy tuck is recommended for your front to tighten the loose skin and remove unwanted fat. For your back, it depends on the quality of your skin. If you have loose skin, a circumferential tummy tuck would help. Liposuction can also be performed to enhance results. An in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended to determine which treatment would be most suitable.

Answer: What procedure/s would be most helpful for my tummy and back? Congratulations on the 65 pound weight loss. I cannot see your lower abdomen in your photos, so I have no idea how much overhanging skin you have. Generally, with that much weight loss a tummy tuck is required for the most optimal result. If there is no overhang, then a liposuction with a Renuvion to tighten the skin may work. For your back area, a liposuction with the Renuvion (formally called J-plasma) to tighten the skin would give you a beautiful result. The Renuvion is like shrink-wrapping your skin. Thank you for our question and photos, and good luck.

Answer: Breast lift and tummy tuck After 2 pregnancies and 65 lbs weight loss, your breasts are drooping as well. I recommend you begin with a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. This will pull some of the back skin forward and take care of some of the looseness that you dislike. At the same time, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After these are completed, you can consider a back lift, if necessary. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
