It sounds like you don't have compression on the area that was suctioned. You need more than TED stockings. You need a compression garment that goes all the way to your groin.
Because the effects of gravity on the movement of fluid within the tissues liposuction of the legs can be much more problematic is most patients spent time standing during the day. Compressive garments help but elevation of the limb is the best way to address the swelling.
Swelling after liposuction is the norm, and not the exception. Ask your operating surgeon about the use of a compression garment to help with the swelling. The TED stockings will help some but a mid shaper thigh compression garment will help more. Good luck!
When my patients have liposuction to their thighs, I have them wear a compression garment , like a bike short, girdle, legging, etc. The length of the garment is dependant on how far down the thighs that are liposuctioned.

Every doctor has their own recommendations on post-op garments. In my practice, I have my patients wear a compression garments for at least 6 weeks if not longer. This helps the skin to adhere back down to the tissue and also helps with swelling.
