When you get IPL, does your skin initially look saggy and older? I had IPL a month ago and I swear my skin has aged about ten years.

We recommend discontinuing retinol prior to IPL or laser procedure. We stop one week prior to the scheduled date. Retinol can thin the skin. It may be uneven in certain areas and makes it difficult to determine the energy and pulse width for the IPL.

Thank you for your question. IPL is not a pleasant procedure if you are not numb. everyones sensitivity to pain is different. follow up with your provider.
