IPL while on Dexlansoprazole and Retinol?

So I want to try IPL for facial sun damage, I'm wondering if I can develop any problem or side effect as I'm on Dexlansoprazole (60mg daily) and Retinol cream every night. Thanks.

Thank you for your question. IPL is not a pleasant procedure if you are not numb. everyones sensitivity to pain is different. follow up with your provider.

I recommend following up with your cosmetic dermatologist for after care. I recommend Silagen + Bioshield and PDT therapy to promote healing. I recommend lasers with Cosmelan and microneedling/prp to improve outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

In  my opinion, I would perform the micro-needling first and then the IPL. You will be left with some degree of  redness after the micro needling. The IPL will treat the redness.
