CONTACT NOW Answer: Recommend using melarase creams to help with pigmentation Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Mark on nose following scab removal It is tough to answer your question well without a bit more information. Why did you have a scab? What type of injury did you have? How long was the scab there? What is the natural color of your skin? Do you have a photograph? I would recommend consultation with someone who has expertise in the treatment of scars and the use of lasers. Best of luck.

Answer: Pigmentary issues If you have dark spots, then please use spf at least 45 every day , 365 days a year. The sun will be trying to make your dark spot darker, even if you are not going to the beach!!Hydroquinone might make it look worse, if you get a light circle around your dark spot. Depending on your skin tone I would try to leave it alone except for the sun avoidance. PS don't ever pick off the scab. It is there for a reason!!Be Well,Dr Johnson
