I’m a 26 year old male and about 6 years ago, I had an accident where i was going for a jog and tripped, hit my forehead straight on which busted it open which resulted in stitches and now i have this flat faded linear scar that has discoloration and curious if there is any procedure that could possible remove or hide this scar permanently thanks so much.

For mature hypopigmented scars, consider a series of manually performed Dermarolling Microneedling procedures (no need for the added expense or risks of RF microneedling) accompanied by the application of Rx topical prescription enhancing medications, such as topical tyrosine and latanoprost.  I have personally been employing this approach for many years for this kind of problem with gratifying results. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist scar treatment expert and be wary of claims for the benefits of expensive gizmo treatments, such as for fraxel lasers and RF devices, as the hard science to back up these claims lags well behind the heavy marketing hype and social media buzz to hawk them. At this point—6 years later—the scar is considered stable, which is actually a good thing because it means it won’t change much on its own, but it also makes it harder to completely “erase.”

There are several non-surgical and procedural options that can significantly improve its appearance:

Laser Treatments – Fractional lasers or vascular/pigment-targeting lasers can help break down discoloration and stimulate collagen to improve texture and blend the scar with surrounding skin. Multiple sessions are usually needed.
Microneedling – This creates tiny controlled injuries that stimulate collagen remodeling. It can help flatten the scar and improve skin tone over several sessions.
Chemical Peels – Superficial to medium-depth peels can help improve discoloration and skin texture, especially when paired with other treatments.
Steroid or Silicone-Based Treatments – For scars that are raised or slightly thickened, silicone gel sheets or topical gels can help soften and flatten them over time.
Surgical Revision – In some cases, a minor excision or scar revision can reposition the scar along natural forehead lines, making it less noticeable. This is usually reserved for scars that are very prominent or wide.
Combination Approach – Often, the best results come from combining treatments—for example, a minor scar revision followed by laser or microneedling to improve texture and pigmentation.
