I have fine lines forming across the lower parts of my cheeks. It is creating awful texture, particularly in certain light. I initially thought it was due to my pores because of the pattern, but when I pull up on my upper cheek, the skin below smooths and my pores are not at all visible so it seems to be laxicity. Would any procedures help this? Laser? Lifting? I would like to avoid the risk of losing facial fat as I am still pleased with that part of my face at this time. Thank you!
Answer: Skin texture and fine lines Thank you for your question. Yes, resurfacing (either chemical or laser) will be likely to help improve the texture and tone of your skin. You can also try starting with vitamin C serum and retinol if you haven't tried that already. All the best! -Dr. P

Answer: Resurfacing cheeks Hello Refresh22 My name is Melanie I am a Medical Aesthetician at Aesthetic Skin in Chicago IL. Thank you for sharing your photo with me this helps provide insight on choosing the best treatment for you. I recommend completing a series of 3 Morpheus 8 treatments 4 weeks apart. Morpheus 8 combines needling and radio frequency energy to resurface the skin by creating microlesions in the skin that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in turn smooth and firms the skin. Once you have completed a series and reached your goals you can maintain the results with regular maintenance treatments every 6-12 months. I would love to discuss this treatment with you further as well as all your goals. Please give us a call 312-944-0117. We look forward to hearing from you.

Answer: Clear & Brilliant to help reduce fine lines on the face Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Cheek Lines Thank you for your question! You could consider doing CO2 laser resurfacing to help minimize the lines and pores. CO2 laser can also help to tighten the skin and help with any pigmentation. It does appear that you have some pink tones in your skin which can be exacerbated by deeper CO2 depths. With this in mind, you might benefit better from doing multiple lighter laser peels than a harsher deeper peel. Hope this helps!
