Hello mariann37My name is Melanie I am a Medical Aesthetician located in Chicago IL at Aesthetic Skin. I have a few suggestions in treating the glabellar. If Neurotoxin is not an option for you, I recommend coolpeel laser which is a great resurfacing laser to treat fine lines wrinkles and retexture the overall appearance of the skin. I receommend a series of 3 - 6 4 weeks apart. Please give our office a call if you have any further questions or to book a consultation. 312-944-0117. We look forward to hearing from you!
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
"For glabellar lines (or frown lines / ""11"" lines), we inject Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport into the muscle, causing the muscle to weaken and improving the appearance of the lines. These work by binding to receptors that send nerve signals for muscles to contract. Since your body makes new receptors and neurotransmitters all the time, it needs to be maintained otherwise the wrinkles will slowly return as the muscle regains function over time. Neurotoxins take 2 to 4 weeks to start working and lasts for up to 6 months. For deeper glabella lines or strong 11s, I use a combination of Botox with fillers, lasers and microneedling with PRP. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and expert in lasers and fillers. Best, Dr. Emer"
In my opinion, the best resurfacing laser would be a CO2 laser. Your glabellar line looks fairly deep on your photo though, so I'm not sure if laser resurfacing would give you the best result. It is possible that a filler could help.
I would use the Sciton TRL laser. Its an Erbium laser that allows very precise removal of skin without the pigmentary complcations often seen with co2 lasers
Laser resurfacing treatments do not work very well for forehead/glabellar lines they are better on the lower face and peri orbital areas . You have a static wrinkle which maybe best to treat with neurotoxins which after repeated treatments every 4 months will eventually improve as the muscle will atrophy . Fillers can be performed in the correct hands but this is a danger zone for filler complications

CO2 is the best laser for scars, but Erbium and Halo with Profractional are great alternatives. It may take a series of treatments to see improvements and to maintain. Keep in mind that a tailored combination approach will give you the most improvement with acne scars. I recommend getting a...
