Thank you for your question. Laser resurfacing is an excellent method for tightening eyelid skin and reducing appearance of line lines. The type of laser used should be either carbon dioxide or erbium:YAG so that there is a resurfacing effect.
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Hello Kim RMy name is Melanie I am a Medical Aesthetician located in Chicago at Aesthetic Skin, Thank you for your question! I would recommend Morpheus 8 in a series. Morpheus 8 is a combination of needling and radio frequency energy, the needling creates tiny lesions to the skin combined with the radio frequency energy stimulates collagen and elastin production which smooths and firms the skin. This is one of the top treatments to treat laxity, texture and wrinkles best. Please feel free to contact our office directly should you have any further questions or to book a consultation. 312-944-0117. We look forward to hearing from you!
For puffiness and sagging under the eyes, we often use Renuvion helium plasma radiofrequency energy to achieve incredible results and take years off of your appearance. Combining RF energy and cool helium plasma, the signs of aging (wrinkles, pigmentation, skin laxity) are improved in a ‘Nonsurgical Eyelid Lift.' The focused heating tightens and peels the upper layers of skin with extreme precision, leaving the surrounding area undamaged, smoothing and tightening the periorbital skin, and improving the overall skin quality around the eyes. It's an aggressive treatment, and the recovery time is longer than with other nonsurgical procedures, but the results can be life-changing. See an expert to determine if this is the best solution for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question. Laser resurfacing of the skin is beneficial in increasing elasticity, generating collagen and diminishing wrinkles. You should make an appointment for in-person evaluation and guidance with an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. Good luck!
Usually some form of resurfacing is helpful for lower eyelid skin. I prefer a CO2 laser or TCA chemical peel. In some cases, a lower eyelid pinch blepharoplasty is helpful and can be done at the same time.
A great way to improve the quality of eyelid skin is an erbium laser resurfacing. It does a great job of reducing wrinkles and tightening the skin. It's very safe if performed by someone with experienced and can be performed right in the office with only about 5-7 days of some downtime.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation SpecialistQuintessa
Hi. Yes, laser treatment does help with crepey eyelids. A fractional CO2 laser would be safer than an ablative CO2 laser. Eye shields (thick contact lenses) may be necessary to protect the eyes from laser light damage so it would be best to go to someone with experience in treating this area with a laser. Superficial radiofrequency treatment device would also be a great option. In terms of eye creams, choose one that has hyaluronic acid (hydrates skin and boosts collagen production). Alastin makes a product called Transform that I find the most helpful for improving the look of crepey skin.
