Over the last 8-9 months, I’ve noticed the texture of my skin around my eyes and mouth change dramatically. I have these crepey, fine little lines coming down from my eyes that seem to be getting more noticeable. I am concerned about a similar thing around my mouth as well, especially above my upper lip. Is there a fix? What’s the best one? I had a lower blepharoplasty almost 2 years ago, bummed I’m having this issue so soon. I get botox regularly.
Answer: A combination or a light CO2 and a melapeel can help soften harsh lines around the eyes Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Treatment for fines lines and thin skin Hello! I would recommend a combination of a fractional CO2 laser with PRP and either fat transfer to your cheeks and tear troughs or Sculptra injections. Your concerns stem from mildly thin skin and loss of facial volume. Since you have fair skin the CO2 laser works great and is very safe. Hope that helps!

Answer: Profractional laser for eyelids Profractional can be done to treat the skin texture on the upper and lower eyelid. It can be used specifically to address your concerns such as crepeyness of the skin, fine lines or thinning of the skin, that results in more transparency and visible blood vessels. It does typically yield very nice results and requires someone specifically trained in using lasers on the eyelids for safety reasons; it does take approximately 6 to 9 months after the procedure to see a more noticeable difference, so it does improve over time and slower than the rest of the skin of the face. It's not uncommon for me to come across patients who have had a blepharoplasty like yourself that addressed some of their key issues with skin sagging and excess skin. However, the remaining skin could use improvement in which a laser is the best option as well as medical grade eye creams.
