Can I get Botox if I have vertigo?

You may get Botox with your current vertigo. Botulinum toxin reduces neck muscle spasms and is in fact helpful with your vertigo. Always go to a board certified medical professional to do your treatment.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having from vertigo. You should be able to proceed with your Botox treatment as you wish. It should not worsen your vertigo symptoms.

The only medical condition that could be worsened by Botox is a demyelinating disease like Eaton-Lambert. It should not have any effect on your vertigo.

If you are not contagious, you should be able to get Botox. Botox for cosmetic reasons should have no affect of your vertigo.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however in this case there is no clear answer. Botox is not contraindicated but there is a risk as with anything you do it could trigger an element of vertigo. I hope that helps answer your question. I truly hope your vertigo is resolving. While Botox should not impact your vertigo specifically (I have not had any patients in which this was a cause and effect issue in my own practice), it is always best to seek any cosmetic procedure when your health is in top form. I do not recommend having Botox if you are suffering with an infection.Do get Botox again since you were so happy with it, but do so when you are feeling fully recovered and your doctors deem you so.
