I’m 55 female 125 pounds 5’8” had a neck and face lift on April 5th 2021. I have several stringy bands under chin and neck . My surgeon has been giving me injections every six weeks in the band. I don’t want to have to keep doing that. Now I’m noticing more laxity in the ski as well.

Your photo shows a very slender neck, with minimal fat under the skin that can camouflage platysma muscle fibers in the neck.  I don't know exactly what techniques were used in your neck, but it appears to me that these stringy bands are most likely a combination of muscle fibers stuck to the underside of the skin by scar tissue.  I don't think there is a perfect solution for your problem, but I would suggest to redo the necklift: Elevate neck skin off the muscle, release any scar adhesions, and cut the front portion of both platysma muscles to relieve their pull, and possibly tighten the platysma muscles toward the back of the neck.  Of course my thoughts are based just on the photo, and your surgeon is better able to analyze your neck with an in-person consultation.

What type of injections are you getting? If it’s Botox, then fine. If it’s a steroid, you should probably stop.  At some point, you would probably be a candidate for additional tightening through surgery.
