I have a big indent in the middle of my right butt cheek that I would like to be rectified. Options? (photos)

Unfortunately photos are never as clear as an in person physical exam. Nonetheless is likely one of two things. Either it is a tight connective tissue band that would have to be released (i.e. cut) to allow the skin to pop open and possibly add a bit of fat grafting as well. Or it is indeed fat atrophy from one of your buttock injections as a child. In this case as well, scar tissue release plus fat grafting would be your best option. Glad to be of help.

Thank you for your question.Fat grafting would be a great option to help fill this area in and make it symmetric to the other side.  I would recommend an in person consultation for a definite answer. If there is scar tissue there, it may require some release of that along with the fat injections.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but based on your photos, it looks like this could be improved with a combination of subcision and fat grafting. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Based on your pictures, you are a good candidate for liposuction with fat transfer, to improve your buttocks and fill the dents, and I think you'll get very good results. 
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

A buttock implant may help but you also have the option of a fat transfer to correct the dent. Its best to get an in person consultation with a specialist. Please be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in this procedure and is well known for it.  

The area of concern is most likely due toconnective tissue bands that anchor the skin to the underlying muscle fascia.These connective tissue bands don’t stretch and are of a certain length. When the surrounding tissue has more volume than the length of these connective tissue bands indentations occur. Classically the way you describe with weight gain. This is the same process that causes cellulite. In fact this is just a single large version of cellulite as opposed to the overall uneven contour women often see on the Weight bearing part of the buttocks and back of the thigh. The areas on our body that can tolerate increased pressure like the palms of her hands and the Back of the barracks have more of these connective tissue bands. This is why you can lift up the skin on the back of your hand but you can’t tent up or lift the skin off your palm.There’s no good treatment for this. Subsicion Is the recommended treatment option with or without the addition of small amounts of fat grafting or fillers.Adding volume alone with the use of fillers or fat transfer will most likely notAdding volume alone with the use of fillers or fat transfer will most likely not correct the problem Correct the problem.Most likely the best recommendation is to except this and not treat it. My opinion is that the chance of this coming out the way you want from surgical intervention is fairly low.There will be ample providers believing that adding volume with that or fillers will fix the problem. You can try it but I don’t think it’ll work.Once the underlying primary problem is understood it becomes clear by adding more volume just like weight gain can make it worse and not better.there is no easy way to cut or release the connective tissue bands.
