Hi Tj,Good question - fortunately, the 2940nm wavelength on the Pixel does not affect hair significantly. That wavelength targets water in the skin, and only penetrates into the mid-dermis. The hair follicles sit in the deep dermis / fat and won't be injured by the laser. Of course, any hair on the area does need to be removed prior to treatment, as it will interfere with the laser's normal interaction with the skin. So in short, you're good.Hope that helps!PB
No, the pixel laser is not known to affect facial hairgrowth. However if you do have facial hair at the time of treatment, these could get singed and fall out, but will eventually grow back. Thehair blub is located within the deepest layers of the skin where the laser doesnot penetrate.
Pixel does not affect the hair follicles. It may temporarily singe the hair, but will not permanently damage the hair.
Pixel laser can stimulate collagen growth, which may thicken the skin and decreases the signs of wrinkles. However the amount of growth is different among patients and it may take several treatments to notice any significant change.
I would avoid wearing makeup until the skin has peeled off and the new youthful skin has begun emerged, usually about one week. During the healing phase, it is important to apply moisturizer constantly to prevent the treated area from drying out.
For facial scars, I would use a combination of fractional laser, EMatrix, fillers, and microneedling. In some cases, fillers may help with atrophic scars. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
