There are many ways to brighten teeth.  At home tray bleaching gives excellent results at reasonable costs.  I am concerned how you say your smile has ruined your life.The person most aware of your teeth is you and making the teeth whiter will improve the look. The biggest effepc we see in patients with cosmetic dentistry is in personal self confidence.  What changes most in life is how you see yourself, not just how your teeth look.Do not let the appearance of your teeth ruin your life.  A good attitude and outlook is far more important than how yellow your teeth look to you.

Custom made trays and gel to use at home will be the best solution. The gel comes in varying concentrations of strength. This method allows you to alter both the amount of time you wear the trays and the strength of the bleach you use so that you get the best result with the least amount of sensitivity.

Whitening is easy and economical treatment option to start but ultimately it depends upon your cosmetic goals. You could explorer options of braces, veneers, crowns etc to achieve the desired goals and you can take baby steps for the final result.  Best of luck

Almost any whitening system dispensed or administered by a dentist is capable of whitening yellow teeth such as yours.  I would shy away from the over-the-counter bleaching agents, as they are much more dilute and more inefficient at whitening teeth than the professional products that your dentist would dispense.You could also utilize an in the office bleaching technique, like Zoom.  Or a combination of Zoom and bleaching trays.Discuss this with your dentist, as when he sees your teeth he will be the best one able to offer you the advice that will give you the results you are seeking.

There are many ways to whiten teeth, and many MAY satisfy your goals.  If you just want whitER teeth, anything will work, even the OTC stuff.  However, most of the people I have met want more, having TRIED the OTC materials.  If you want the BEST, consider KöR Whitening (sometimes called Deep Bleaching or Extreme Whitening).  This is a combination of at home trays and in office treatment, and the trays are very UNIQUE and the KEY to the whole thing (so you can't use "just any tray and gel").  It will cost more, but will work better and last longer.
